Overview
Before OutRun, there was Hang-On. Yu Suzuki’s motorcycle racer introduced Sega’s Super Scaler technology and the concept of arcade games as physical experiences. Players sat on a replica motorcycle, leaning left and right to steer through courses. The combination of speed, spectacle, and physical engagement established Sega’s arcade dominance.
